I recalled 1 "quote" from a master, being a dog in western countries lives a better and more comfortable life than general human. This is somehow true that rearing a dog could be as expensive as raising a child. Noticed that new generation Taiwanese and Singaporean prefer rearing a dog rather than having a baby. I think i could comprehend this mindset to the extent that the child will become rebellious or let his parents down when growing up or marry; but dog will never. They always accompany you and whether u are happy, sad, poor or prosperous, like a little baby or child . They are your "forever" baby and little child . Am I right ?

While having & raising a child means heavier responsibility, the likelihood of the occasional headaches & heartaches as the child grows in stature & cognitive abilities; the joy, contentment & sense of fulfilment that a child brings is many times that a dog can possibly ever bring.
It would be such a regrettable loss to humankind if those who can (esp. those with high EQ &/or IQ, healthy bodies, nice/decent physical features) choose not to have kid(s) & experience parenthood; but opt for a dog instead. As a compromise, it is possible to have both. Btw, there are some dogs which out of the blue, sometimes bite their owners too! :) .
i always wish to raise another puppy.. however due to environment constraint... i got to wait another few years to have this wish come true...
"Dogs are men's best friends" that why our friend, dreamer like to raise puppy rather than a miao. On the other side, observed that miao miao are pet to women rather than men.
Well, dreamer you will be promoted and become a father by having a baby soon!Like the uncle DT said joy and happiness are always doubled up by having a kids rather than pet;so what you are looking forward is actually "realizing " soon.
